Katra, a small town in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, is nestled in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, where the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is located.

Trek and Darshan
Early morning, proceed to Banganga to begin your trek to the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi.

The shrine is located at an altitude of 5,200 feet, approximately 12 km from Katra.

You can choose to trek on foot, hire a pony, or use a palki (palanquin) for the journey.

Highlights of the Yatra:

Visit the natural pindies of Mata Mahakali, Mata Mahalakshmi, and Mata Mahasaraswati in the cave shrine.

Experience the spiritual aura and seek blessings from the divine mother.

Explore other shrines and landmarks along the trekking path.
